MAINTENANCE:

•      Frequent sweep or vacuum
•      Occasional damp mop
•      Felt pads or cups on furniture legs

REPAIRS:

     Very rarely, a surface may be damaged from long-standing water or a penetrating object.  Surface repair and/or removal of damaged area and then reinstalling new decoupage is quick and blends well. 

RECOATING:

     An entire room or spot recoating is always an option although rarely necessary as the finish is extremely durable and does not wear through easily.  A one-day turn around is usually all that is needed.

TECHNICAL/ECO-FRIENDLY FACTS:

     All of the  components of my decoupage surfaces are nontoxic and environmentally      safe.  I offer a choice of several sealers, all
of which have different VOCs, cure rates and chemical components.   Water based finishes with VOCs of 250 or less are used and specific MSDS information can be supplied if you need additional technical data.  Water based or oil based, we can discuss your options and what is best for your installation.

HOW CAN THIS TYPE OF SURFACE
BE DURABLE, AFTER ALL, IT'S PAPER, ISN'T IT?  This is a very special paper to begin with, but the way that we apply and then seal it is what makes it so durable.  Check out our testimonials page for plenty of references about durability.

WE CURRENTLY HAVE CARPET ON OUR FLOORS BUT WANT A DECOUPAGE FLOOR INSTALLED, WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE TO GET THE FLOOR READY?  Clients have the option to remove the carpet themselves or we can do this for a nominal charge.  Included in your quote will be several hours of scraping and cleaning your concrete slab to remove any paint, sheetrock mud, etc... that may have been left by previous workers.  After that, we are ready to install your flooring.

IS THIS FLOORING SUITABLE FOR BATHROOMS OR KITCHENS?  Absolutely!  Our commercial-grade sealer is highly rated for its non-slip properties.  It's suitable for institutions and commercial areas so you know it will be great in your home.

WHY HAVEN'T I HEARD OF THIS TYPE OF FLOORING BEFORE?  Only until recently, Lisa Raymer was the only person creating and installing this amazing surface for floors and counter tops.  Now, with the addition of distributors, more and more people will be exposed to this process.

ABOUT HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO GET A DECOUPAGE FLOOR INSTALLED?  If the slab is clean, most jobs are 3 days and there are certain times that you can walk on the floor during the installation process.  (Nice to know if it is your kitchen or bedroom that is being done!)
